About Us

Become a Part of the Most Dynamic Community Of Landscape Contractors

The Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association (CGKA) is a not for profit organization that strives to provide the state with the most up-to-date resources, education, and training in the Green Industry. Founded over 50 years ago, our Association has grown to become one of the most respected organizations of its kind. We offer a variety of services to our members, including professional development seminars and courses, industry-leading certification programs, annual conventions and conferences, membership recognition awards, and more.

Our goal is to help landscape contractors reach their full potential by providing guidance on important topics such as safety procedures, business practices, best practices for running a successful business, and more. We also work closely with UConn to provide students with unique opportunities for access to research. In addition to offering educational seminars and courses on various aspects of grounds and landscape management, we actively monitor research projects that seek to improve the way landscapes are managed across the nation.

Our Commitment

At CGKA we are committed to helping our members succeed while also promoting responsible stewardship of natural resources. Our charitable efforts have made us a trusted member of many local organizations devoted to protecting Connecticut’s green spaces. We invite all current landscape contractors in the state as well as those considering getting into this field to join us today! With access to our expansive library of resources plus other benefits like discounted rates on seminars and conventions you’ll be sure to get off on the right foot!
