Annual Meeting of Experiment Station Associates Features Talk on Biochar


NEW?HAVEN, CT – The annual meeting of The Experiment Station Associates will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 7 pm, in the Jones Auditorium at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, 123 Huntington St., New Haven. The Experiment Station Associates (ESA) is a friends group that supports the mission of The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES).

 

Dr. Theodore G. Andreadis, director of CAES, will introduce new scientists and give an update on The Experiment Station’s activities.

 

Dr. Joseph J. Pignatello, head of CAES’ Dept. of Environmental Sciences, will speak about “Biochar: It’s Potential Uses and CAES Research.” Dr. Pignatello’s talk should last around 45 minutes and he’ll take questions afterward.

 

There will be a brief meeting of ESA to elect new board members. Attendees will have the opportunity to join ESA and to sign up for tours of The Experiment Station’s New Haven facility.

 

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
